Prior to joining AME, Paul was the Vice President at Veolia North America, where he managed contract operations of commercial, state and federal levels. He was responsible for safe and efficient plant operations, budgeting and financial growth, business development, regulatory compliance, and creating a culture of continuous improvement. This included managing 22 state-of-the-art, sustainable energy and resource recovery business units that included water, wastewater, and Cogeneration sites. He implemented many safety improvements, driving a safety culture of Goal Zero OSHA incidents.
Before his time at Veolia, Paul was the Director of Operations of Submarine Force Atlantic. There, he served as a Navy captain, leading senior-level in scheduling and employment of all Atlantic-based submarines. This included overseeing preparations and certification for the deployment of 30 submarines for missions.
Paul also was a US. Navy Captain/Nuclear Power Submarine Officer, where he was involved in expert planning of operations, and preventative and corrective quality maintenance. His time in the Navy progressed from challenging sea and shore assignments to becoming the Deputy for Training & Education, from Commanding Officer of USS Springfield to the Commanding Officer of USS Emory S Land. His vast knowledge and expertise in military operations, development, and safety are exceptional.
