We’re Back for MIASF’s Plywood Regatta 2026

We’re excited to be participating again in the Marine Industries Association of South Florida (MIASF) Plywood Regatta this April 25 and 26.

This year, AME is proud to return as a sponsor, supporting the event as the official bag sponsor and continuing our involvement in a program that brings students hands-on exposure to the maritime industry.

For those unfamiliar, the Plywood Regatta challenges middle and high school students to design and build their own boats using basic materials and tools, then put them to the test on the water. It’s a unique opportunity for students to develop practical skills, teamwork, and confidence, many for the first time.

Last year, we had the opportunity to mentor two student teams, including New River Middle’s “Plywood Pioneers,” who took home first place in their division. Experiences like that are exactly why we continue to support this event.

We’re especially proud to see our own team members involved again this year. Christine continues her participation, and Mackenzie remains actively involved, from participant to mentor to leader.
