Standing by Our Expertise: How AME Solved a Conflicting Motor Problem

Here’s a story we think sums up what we’re all about.

"Had a lightning strike, as a result, the motors were affected. After the manufacturer repaired what they could, the motors were still underperforming. Several phone calls with the manufacturer's engineers on this motor, they determined the motors were performing fine, although we were missing 200 turns and four kts, and doubled the hole shot time.

AME was contacted to do what they do and discovered we were down 150 hp per side. The manufacturer still didn’t believe this was possible. So, the motors were removed and dynoed on two different dynos. They came back within a few numbers of the AME report! AME stood firm by their results out of the gate when the manufacturer pushed back. Turns out AME was right! The techs that came out were great and very knowledgeable!"
