Motor Installation + Laser Alignment of Gearbox and Pumps

AME was recently contracted by an industrial engineering management company to replace three existing electric motors and perform a precision laser alignment to the existing gearbox and pumps at a US Air Force base.

The laser alignment was performed using a Pruftechnik ROTALIGN Touch. Measurements were taken on site of installation, and adjustments were made in based on the data provided by the alignment equipment.  

After the work was performed, overall vibrations of the motors and pumps were found acceptable according to tolerances of ANSI/HI and API standards for pumps, in addition to the ISO 10816-3 Standards for machinery vibration.
