Industrial News: Precision Alignment & Vibration Analysis of the Air Burner

We recently performed a precision laser alignment evaluation and vibration analysis on Landscaping Services' Air Burner – FireBox S327. This equipment, used to incinerate brush, wood, and debris collected during landscaping operations, was experiencing severe vibration and frequent shearing of bolts near the fan shroud.

The evaluation revealed that the engine was significantly out of alignment with the fan bearings, contributing to uneven stress and abnormal vibration levels. Additionally, the fan was found to require dynamic balancing to improve stability and performance.

To address these issues, AME recommended replacing the pedestal bearings, performing a high-accuracy laser alignment of the engine to the fan shaft, and cleaning and balancing the fan to correct the imbalance. These steps will ensure the equipment operates efficiently and with reduced wear on mechanical components.
