AME Hosts SNAME's Southeast Section

This Pi Day, March 14th, was extra special for us as we had the honor of hosting the quarterly meeting for SNAME at our shop in Safe Harbor Lauderdale Marine Center. Being part of this organization for years, we proudly welcomed members to our shop!

We were so excited to have several attendees from the ocean engineering program at Florida Atlantic University —a program we believe in, not just for the exposure it's bringing to the younger generation but also for the bright interns it has provided AME over the years.

Rich Merhige, President, and Tony Planamento, CRL, Technical Projects Supervisor, delved into motion amplification, presenting case studies and showcasing the revolutionary video data processing technology by RDI Technologies Inc. in maritime applications.

“The SNAME Southeast Section is so grateful to AME for hosting our March meeting. It was a fantastic opportunity for our members, particularly our students, to engage with industry experts like Rich Merhige and Tony Planamento and learn about cutting-edge topics in the industry. The feedback from attendees has been terrific – we are thrilled that AME was able to put this event together!” Drew Orvieto, Chair of the Southeast Section, SNAME.

But what's a gathering without some good food and drinks? We made sure everyone enjoyed dinner and beverages - it was a great atmosphere for networking, learning, and advancing together.

Thank you to everyone who joined us!
