AME Attends Coast Guard Night 2026 at Sector Miami

Honored to attend Coast Guard Night 2026 with the Propeller Club of Miami.

AME was glad to support and attend this year’s event at the US Coast Guard Sector Miami. The cutter tours were a highlight, and it was great hearing directly from Sector Commander Captain Frank Florio.

This evening was especially meaningful as we had the opportunity to spend time with Richard Kniffin. We were saddened to hear of his passing shortly after the event. We had known Richard for decades and worked alongside him during his time managing the Walton Smith UM research vessel. He will be remembered for his contributions to the maritime community and the relationships he built over the years. [obituary link]
