All Aboard the Plywood Regatta Fun!
Day 1 of this year's Annual Plywood Regatta, hosted by the Marine Industries Association of South Florida, was a blast! The AME team sponsored and mentored a student team led by Rich Merhige, with Christine Battles and Lori Wheeler adding all the liveliness as the event's emcee. Congratulations to all the winners! It was heartwarming to see industry faces support budding boating enthusiasts.
Day 2 revved up the excitement with speed, skill, and teamwork on display. The 'White Whale' boat from New River Middle stole the show, and our own AME mascot, Amber, proudly posed with the race cup! The Plywood Regatta, a cherished AME Corporate Social Responsibility/CSR initiative, continues to inspire the next generation to choose a career in the maritime industry.
