Alignment on a 231' Motor yacht

A 231' Benetti was undergoing its 20-year survey and reached out to AME to take geometric hull deflection readings while major hull modifications were underway. With the running gear already removed, we suggested that the Captain have the shaft line alignment checked. Using Pruftechnik - Americas's Centralign, we checked the alignment of the strut, stern tube, and gearbox with respect to the shaft line and the engines to their respective gears. This saved our customer a lot of time.
