Marine Mechanic

Summary: The Marine Mechanic performs skilled work to the maintenance and repair of rotating/reciprocating machinery for marine and industrial clients. The Mechanic has a solid mechanical aptitude and can perform mechanical tasks to fix equipment. Within the position, the mechanic will be trained to move into a hydraulic technician position. Candidates must have 2-3 years of experience in performing repairs on marine equipment. This position requires up to 25%-50% travel per year.

Summary: AME’s Hydraulic Technician is responsible for the installation, troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic systems and components. Required, 2-3 years experience with relative experience in the fluid power industry, proficient in standard industry practices, and fluent in English, both written and verbal.This job position requires 25 and up to 50% of travel per year.

Summary: The Marine Mechanic/Technician performs work to the maintenance, repair, and alignment of rotating machinery (namely marine and industrial clientele). The Marine Mechanic/Technician has a mechanical aptitude and is able to perform tasks to fix equipment. They also display a varied knowledge of marine vessels, hand tools and machinery. Mechanical Field Service Engineer

Summary: The Field Service Engineer provides our technical services and solutions to marine and industrial customers. As an AME team member, you work independently (a times with a team) to solve problems and provide technical solutions for rotating machinery in accordance with the customer’s service requirements. The Field Service Engineer is required to have strong mechanical aptitude, written/verbal communication, and the ability to verbally communicate technical issues with the customer. Required, 4year degree in mechanical engineering and must be fluent in English, both written and verbal. This job position requires 25 and up to 50% of travel per year.

Vibration Analyst (level III or IV)

Summary: AME’s Vibration Analyst performs predictive or reliability analysis on rotating and reciprocating machinery in the marine and industrial sector. The experienced Vibration Analyst will create custom databases/plots and perform vibration analysis using condition monitoring systems. Afterwards, the Vibration Analyst will write a report based on findings and recommendations for customers. Other responsibilities include assisting Field Service Engineers and Technicians on various project work. Qualified candidates must possess a ISO 18436-2 certificate Level III or higher. Must be fluent in English, both written and verbal communication. This job position requires 25% and up to 50% of travel per year worldwide.

Service Manager

Summary: AME’s Service Manager is responsible for managing, overseeing and supervising the Field Service Engineers, and Field Service Technicians. The Service Manager is accountable and responsible for all engineering and technical disciplines that the AME’s projects involve. Position will schedule, plan, forecast, resource and manage all the technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion. Oversee quality control of the company’s engineering/technical services and providing engineering solutions to marine and industrial clientele. As a member of the AME leadership team, this position will provide guidance to solve problems and provide technical solutions for rotating machinery in accordance with the customer’s service requirements. Seeking candidates with service and repair experience on propulsion systems and related types of machinery. Comprehensive field service report writing is a requirement. Required, bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Marine Engineering, and must be fluent in English, both written and verbal. Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a management position.

AME Summer Internship Program

AME offers a few summer internships annually for college students who are interested in working in the marine and industrial mechanical engineering field. Interns will be able to get an inside look on day-to-day activities led by AME’s experienced Field Service Engineers/Technicians and will have the opportunity to have hands-on training by joining in on numerous jobs during the duration of the summer program.
